DeerDash Processing Joins Michigan Sportsmen Against Hunger in Ottawa County

Michigan Sportsmen Against Hunger is excited to welcome DeerDash Processing of Holland to our growing network of participating wild game processors.

Located at 7680 112th Ave. in Holland, DeerDash gives hunters in Ottawa County and the surrounding West Michigan area another convenient location to donate a harvested deer and help provide nutritious venison to local families in need.

About DeerDash Processing

DeerDash is a family-rooted deer processing operation built around making the processing experience simple, dependable, and transparent for hunters.

One feature that sets DeerDash apart is its 24-hour cooler drop-off, allowing hunters to bring in a deer outside normal business hours. DeerDash also uses its own DeerTrack software, which follows each deer through the processing operation using a QR-code-based tracking system.

For hunters having their own deer processed, DeerDash offers custom cutting, vacuum-sealed packaging, specialty products, and other services.

Donate Your Deer Through Michigan Sportsmen Against Hunger

Hunters can now also bring eligible deer to DeerDash for donation through Michigan Sportsmen Against Hunger.

When a hunter donates a whole deer through MSAH, the venison is processed and distributed through local charitable organizations to help provide high-quality protein to people in need.

There is no processing charge to the hunter for a whole deer donated through MSAH. Michigan Sportsmen Against Hunger raises the funds needed to reimburse participating processors for this work.

A donated deer can provide approximately 40 pounds of venison — enough for roughly 160 servings.

That means one hunter, one deer, and one participating processor can make a meaningful difference right in the local community.

As always, we recommend contacting the processor before bringing in a deer to confirm current donation procedures and availability.

Growing the Network Across Michigan

Processors are one of the most important links in Michigan Sportsmen Against Hunger’s mission.

Hunters provide the venison. Processors turn those donated deer into professionally processed food. Local food banks and pantries then distribute that venison to families and individuals in their communities.

We are grateful to the team at DeerDash Processing for joining that effort and helping us expand deer donation opportunities for hunters in West Michigan.
