MSAH used to depend on a budget allocated by the MDNR that was created from voluntary fund donations at point of a hunting or fishing license sale, into the MDNR controlled Sportsmen Against Hunger fund. Since 9/30/2024 we depend on the generosity of sportsmen, sportswomen, general supporters and supporting grants.

The MSAH organization as a 501c3 depends on fund donations to help pay processors for the work they perform to help feed the hungry of their communities. Electronic or direct mail in fund donations help the MSAH with our mission.

The ground venison goes directly from our participating processors to local food banks, pantries and shelters. Creating a full circle of hunter deer donations, careful clean processing and direct field to table high protein supplemental nourishment, to those in dire need which has been our mission since 1991.
