The 1% Veterans Pantry received a significant venison donation on August 4, 2025, thanks to a partnership between legendary rock star Ted Nugent and Michigan Sportsmen Against Hunger Board Director Louis Krick, who represents Nugent on the MSAH board. Louis and his brother Randy delivered the venison, which was processed at no charge by Paul Dowell of Smith Meats in Millington. The donation establishes an ongoing partnership to support the pantry’s mission that “No Veteran Should Ever Go Hungry.”
